Workshop E-mma x Google x Epitech: Diving into code and a commitment to diversity

On Friday, March 7, 2025, on the eve of International Women's Rights Day, Google France opened its doors for an exceptional workshop in collaboration with E-mma and Epitech. The event was all about sharing, innovation and inclusion, bringing together students and alumni to discuss technological issues and diversity in tech.

Google's immersive afternoon after

The afternoon kicked off with an inspiring introduction by our alumni Dipty Chander, President of E-mma and Technical Account Manager at Google Cloud France, accompanied by Pierre-Olivier Chotard, Head of Marketing at Google Cloud France. Both stressed the importance of diversity in tech and the need to encourage greater gender diversity in digital professions.

The workshop began with a motivational quiz, with, of course, great rewards for the winners 🎁.

Attendees then plunged into the daily lives of Google engineers with a presentation by Julien Breux, Software Engineer at Google Cloud. Between GPU/TPU resource optimization for AI and Machine Learning, live demonstrations and feedback.

Artificial intelligence was also in the spotlight, with a presentation on Gemini and Agentic by Delphin Barankanira, ISV Sales Engineer at Google Cloud France. A rich exchange on the most recent advances in AI and their impact on various sectors.

Finally, the day ended with a convivial moment of exchange, with a drink in hand, reinforcing the spirit of community and sharing between students, alumni and professionals.

The feminization of tech

This workshop took on a special dimension as it was held on the eve of March 8, International Women's Rights Day. For many years, E-mma has been actively involved in promoting gender diversity in tech and encouraging women to take up careers in digital technology. Epitech also shares this spirit, supporting inclusivity and diversity within the tech ecosystem.

Bringing together students, alumni and industry experts, the event was a fine demonstration of the importance of creating inclusive, dynamic and inspiring environments for tomorrow's talent.
